Meet and greet with Prof. Barry Popkin: What should we do when the World is Fat?

On Tuesday, February 17th, The Food and Nutrition Policy for Health Promotion Program (FHP) and the International Health Policy Program Foundation (IHPF), held a meeting titled “Food marketing control: Initiatives in Latin America and Thailand’s next steps.” The purpose of the meeting was to have Thai participants and an international expert exchange their knowledge and experiences in controlling food marketing, having new solutions was the expected bonus. The meeting was honored to have Professor Barry M. Popkin from the University of North Carolina At Chapel Hill, USA, to be a keynote speaker. The meeting was spiced up by the transit knowledge and inspiring stories from FHP’s networks such as Child and Youth Media Institute, Foundation for Consumers, Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University, etc. New ideas on how to deal with food marketing were the souvenirs for all participants to take back home.
