March 17th , 2015, Dr.Thaksaphon Thamarangsi, Director of the International Health Policy Program(IHPP)Thailand welcomed 8 students from the Global Health Entrepreneurship Program, University of Tokyo, Japan. The study visit was aimed to investigating innovative ideas regarding health systems, strategies and best practice to tackle health problems in Thailand. Dr.Thaksaphon briefly introduced International Health Policy Program, including its core functions and infrastructure. A brief introduction on Thai NCDs Network and International Health Trade Programme (ITH) was also provided. The discussion were raised on how research ideas and agenda were set, especially in the issue of ITH. The students deepened into sugar-sweetened beverage regulation in Thailand . The relations between NCDs and socio-economic developments were also discussed.
