Farewell dinner for Dr. Mushtaque Chowdhury, the outgoing Senior Adviser & Associate Director the Rockefeller Foundation On Friday December 7, 2012, the Asia-Pacific Action Alliance on Human Resources for Health (AAAH)

and Capacity Building Program on UHC (CAP UHC) under the International Health Policy Program (IHPP), Ministry of Public Health, cooperated with National Health Security Office (NHSO), Health System Research Institute (HSRI) and Health Intervention and Technology Assessment Program (HITAP), held a farewell dinner for Dr. Mushtaque Chowdhury, the outgoing Senior Adviser & Associate Director, the Rockefeller Foundation based in Thailand, and his family at Pullman Bangkok King Power Hotel. As Dr. Mushtaque will return to Bangladesh for his new posting in BRAC, the dinner provided Thai colleagues with an opportunity to say farewell. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Suwit Wibulpolprasert, Senior Advisor on Disease Control Ministry of Public Health, paid tribute to Dr. Mushtaque and commended him as a good friend who has contributed to health system development in many developing countries in the region, including Thailand.

Dr. Mushtaque and his spouse were presented with souvenirs by Dr. Suwit, followed by Dr. Pongpisut Jongudomsuk, Director of HSRI. On this occasion, Dr. Mushtaque spoke warmly about his time in Thailand during the last four years. He expressed his heartfelt appreciation to Thai colleagues who had contributed to making his tenure meaningful and memorable.
